Minimalist kitchen crafted from premium plywood, meticulously handmade in our Hertfordshire workshop.

Bespoke Yet Cost-Effective

To strike the perfect balance between bespoke luxury and cost-effective design, we started with high-quality, pre-made kitchen carcasses. From there, we built fully customised fronts, panels, and joinery details to create a kitchen that looks and feels completely one-of-a-kind. This hybrid approach allowed our team to offer a fully bespoke kitchen experience while keeping the project within a practical budget. It’s this kind of intelligent design strategy that sets Grain Property apart—tailoring modern craftsmanship without compromise.

No detail was overlooked in this project, least of all the worktop. Crafted from 41mm thick solid timber, this feature element was sanded and polished by hand in our workshop, then finished with three coats of protective varnish to preserve its natural texture while ensuring long-term durability. This substantial thickness gives the worktop a strong visual presence, an anchor for the kitchen's minimalist aesthetic, while the finish provides resistance to daily wear and tear, without sacrificing the tactile quality of natural wood.

  • This plywood wasn’t selected just for its looks. It's a durable, sustainable option that aligns with our ethos of working with honest materials—refined through craftsmanship in our Hertfordshire-based workshop.

At Grain Property, we believe that exceptional design doesn’t need to come with an extravagant price tag, but it should always feel luxurious. Our recent project, a beautifully understated plywood kitchen, showcases how our design-led project management approach and workshop craftsmanship come together to deliver a completely bespoke solution tailored to both the aesthetic and functional needs of our clients.

The kitchen was constructed using premium rotary cut Beech-faced plywood, a material chosen not only for its warm, modern tones but also for its strength and subtle natural grain. The rotary Beech outer face brings a clean, Scandinavian-inspired look, giving the space a light, architectural feeling. Unlike mass-market materials, plywood with this kind of finish brings a quiet confidence, elevating the entire space without needing ornamentation.

Handmade in Our Workshop

The entire kitchen was made by hand in our Hertfordshire workshop, where our team of skilled joiners and cabinetmakers worked closely with our designers and project managers. Every cut, joint, and finish is the result of careful craftsmanship, a process driven by both function and form.

By keeping our fabrication in-house, we maintain full control over the quality and detail of our bespoke kitchens. It also allows us to remain agile during the build process, adapting elements in real time to suit the client’s needs or site-specific requirements.
