This recent residential project brought together a range of high-end yet cost-effective elements to create a modern, design-led home that doesn’t compromise on quality. From a reimagined kitchen inspired by Plain English to bespoke flooring and stainless steel detailing, this home now reflects refined comfort, practicality, and timeless Scandinavian-inspired style.

The overall visual language of the renovation was guided by our interior design partner, whose focus on modern Danish design brought harmony and coherence to the space. Think calm tones, tactile finishes, and careful proportions.
Every element, from cabinet colours to door hardware, was chosen to complement this vision. We paired natural textures with subtle industrial contrasts, creating a home that feels crafted, curated, and deeply personal.
A Refined Take on a Classic:
Our client loved the look of Plain English kitchens, known for their understated elegance and traditional joinery. However, they were also conscious of budget. We worked closely with them to design a custom kitchen that captured the same luxurious aesthetic, but at a fraction of the cost.
Using high-quality materials and smart design detailing, we recreated the look of bespoke cabinetry, complete with modern looking doors, classic mouldings, and a muted, earthy colour palette. All components were manufactured in our local workshop, where our expert joiners and cabinetmakers ensure every piece is precision-made and hand-finished.
By combining cost-effective carcassing with bespoke fronts, we delivered a kitchen that feels entirely one-of-a-kind while maintaining financial flexibility for the rest of the project.
Trunk Flooring: A Beautiful Foundation for Modern Living
In the kitchen and adjoining living space, we installed stunning engineered flooring by Trunk Floor. Their timber flooring is known for its natural beauty, subtle texture, and remarkable durability—qualities that made it the perfect fit for this project.
The chosen finish added warmth to the clean-lined space, while its long planks and tonal variation created a sense of depth and organic movement. As a project management-led renovation company, we know how essential flooring is to the overall tone of a home—and Trunk’s premium product brought cohesion, elegance, and high performance underfoot.

Stainless Steel Worktop with Integrated Sink
Continuing the theme of clean, modern design, the kitchen was completed with a stainless steel worktop featuring a fully integrated sink, fabricated in collaboration with one of our trusted partners based in Bedfordshire.
Stainless steel is a material long celebrated in professional kitchens, but when used in residential design with refined detailing, it becomes a statement of urban luxury. Sleek, durable, and hygienic, this surface ages gracefully with a soft patina and reflects light in a subtly industrial way.
The integrated sink ensures a seamless flow of surface with no joints, lips or edges—bringing form and function into harmony. This element exemplifies our design philosophy: understated luxury, elevated by craftsmanship.
Micro Cement: Modern Texture Meets Practical Innovation
One of the standout materials used in this renovation was white micro cement, applied in both the bathroom and selected feature walls. Micro cement is a high-performance surface finish made from cement, water-based resins, and mineral pigments. Applied in fine layers, it forms a continuous, seamless coating with a soft, matte texture and impressive resilience.

Why do we love it? First, it’s fully waterproof, making it perfect for bathrooms and wet areas. Second, it gives a clean, modern look without the need for tiling or heavy finishes. The result is a smooth, sculptural space that feels both minimal and luxurious.
In bathrooms, micro cement simplifies cleaning and eliminates grout lines. It also pairs beautifully with modern fittings and natural tones, fitting perfectly into our Danish-inspired design aesthetic.
